Description

A blockbuster by City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC), this programme presents a juxtaposition between a classic by Czech choreographer and former artistic director of Netherlands Dance Theatre (NDT), Jiří Kylián, and a new work by CCDC Artistic Director Sang Jijia. Kylián's iconic work, No More Sleep, depicts the loneliness of insomniacs and the drifting of consciousness through abstract bodily expressions, while Sang's piece gently layers shadows and time, extending the flow of emotions and relationships. The works of these two masters resonate with each other, exploring the deepest human sensory connections between reality and illusion.
